Waypoint Consulting Ltd. is dedicated to providing professional advisory and consulting services in The Bahamas. We are a dynamic firm that grasps the increasing need for research consulting and environmental services for businesses, developers, and government agencies. Our practice caters to a broad range of industries including but not limited to infrastructure, energy generation and transmission, land project development, project specific research, and technical analysis. We endeavor to distinguish ourselves through superior communication and technical expertise.

Founded in 2012, Waypoint Consulting Ltd. is an environmental and project management consulting firm based in Nassau, The Bahamas. Melissa Alexiou is the Director of Waypoint Consulting Ltd. With over ten years’ experience, she has prepared numerous project specific Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Monitoring protocols, and Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments. She has provided technical advisory services to developers, policy makers, and industry professionals.

Her consulting practice knowledge areas include but are not limited to infrastructure development of air transport, road construction, and power generation; resort and home developments complete with marinas and golf courses; and technical advisory and editing services for local and international clients. Waypoint provides an integrated approach that emphasizes scientific research with applied environmental management to complement the local ecologic and socio-economic environment of The Bahamas.

Melissa holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from The Johns Hopkins University. She is a project management professional (PMP) and maintains her LEED Green Associate credential. At the community level, Melissa serves on the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Energy and Environment Committee and is a member of the Bahamas National Trust.
